21492378_sHere’s a quick news update to keep you up on where we are so far.

The Kick-off Concert at Unity Church in Albany was pretty much standing room only. The place was packed! Thank you to everyone who braved the cold weather to join us!

For those of you who were not able to attend the Concert and 1st meditation Led by Jim Fuller, We put up a self guided general meditation which you can access here:

A couple of highlights from yesterday’s gathering:

  • Special Guest Clarence (CJ) Jackson shared from his heart about how his organization SNUG (guns spelled backwards) helps to intervene whenever there is a violent incident in the City of Albany. He co-ordinates with the chaplains at Albany Medical center to counsel and “shadow” the victims of shootings and other violent acts. He also organizes “Shooting Responses” and takes over the street corner or location where a shooting has taken place (within 72 hours). visit SNUG on facebook: https://www.facebook.com/ALBANYSNUG
  • Mark Shepard shared a few of his original songs accompanied by Roger Mock and Pete Furlong http://Positive-Songs.com
  • Dr. John Foldy (down with the flu) spoke to us via Youtube and an interview from a few weeks ago. Watch the Full Interview
  • Rev. Jim Fuller led us in the first guided meditation (because we were not able to get the live streaming video to have sound, we will see if we can arrange for Jim to lead us in an additional meditation) http://UnityChurchInAlbany.org

Other exciting news:

  • As of this morning at 7 am over 770 people clicked in to the website!
  • We also had over 100 new people register as participants yesterday.

FYI: A couple of frequently asked questions –Q: “Do I have to click in to the website everyday to meditate or can I just meditate whenever I want?”
A: PLEASE click in each day to the website. Preferably to the actual daily meditation for each day. Then you can go to any of the meditations you prefer. You can ALSO focus your intention on increasing the peace in downtown Albany all day everyday or whenever you think of it. But in order to PROVE that we actually have the numbers of unique participants in the study, we need you to click in to the site! Thanks!

Q: “Is there still time to sign up and participate?”
A: YES!!! We would love it if you could join us and then tell others and invite as many people to participate as possible even up to the last day of the project.

Q: When should I click in to the website? Are there specific times?

A: There is no required specific time. However, if we could suggest times to concentrate our group intentions it would be 7 am,  Noon and 7 pm. If you can do that, great! if not, that’s ok too.

Again, For those of you who were not able to attend the Concert and 1st meditation Led by Jim Fuller, We put up a self guided general meditation which you can access here:
