1.20.15 Meditation: Deb Foss, Body Dialogue Practitioner

Good Morning!

In today’s interview, you get to meet Deb Foss.  Deb has been practicing meditation for decades and has had the unique opportunity to live at Kripalu Yoga Center in Stockbridge, MA for ten years where she had the opportunity to study with some of the cutting edge leaders in mind-body science.  During that time she became certified in yoga, and a powerful healing tool known as Body Dialogue.

Deb came to this interview with a grin on her face, as she told me how she was able to help two people in her daily life experience meditation for the first time.

Do you remember the first time you meditated?

For many of you, it may have been as remarkable as Deb discusses in this video.

For those of us who have been practicing meditation for decades, I believe it is important for us to remember the original awe we experienced after our first meditation, so that we can fully remember the true gift meditation is in our lives.

If we remember our first positive experience with meditation,  we may be more likely to remind others of  this precious free resource available to all of us.

Deb Foss is a Kripalu-certified facilitator, yoga and meditation instructor with over 20 years of experience.  She has a passion for teaching and the utilization of the mind-body-spirit healing techniques of Body Dialogue.   She believes the answers are often inside beyond our conscious minds.  As a Body Dialogue guide, she helps people to awaken to their intuitive nature, become grounded in their knowing and more confident about the present moment and future.  Body Dialogue has helped people to become unstuck from negative patterns, make important decisions and find peace.  Her warm, engaging personality makes learning accessible and safe.  You may also find her teaching evening yoga classes and Body Dialogue workshops in Albany and Clifton Park.

During the day, Deb is the Staff Development Specialist for the Arc of Rensselaer County.  She has an MBA in Health Care Management and “sneaks” relaxation and stress management techniques into staff and management training that allow people to become more productive, satisfied and focused on the job.

Deb will be leading a Body Dialogue workshop at Unity Church on February 8 at 1 PM.
