I hope you are ready for a “new normal”. Because after practicing coherence based meditations for an entire month, you will learn that you always have the ability to effectively lift your spirits, so wallowing in the doldrums will not be as appealing any more.

If you practice these coherence based meditations each day, you will find that your number will creep upward during this January.
I can say with confidence, after over 20 years of teaching this work, I can guarantee that this work works…if you work it!
It is really quite simple, actually. Meditation works the same way that going to the gym to lift weights makes you stronger, or practicing a musical instrument makes you perform better. Practicing meditation makes you more skilled at being able to consistently move your nervous system into a gorgeous state within you that researchers refer to as coherence.
Coherence is like the sweet spot on a tennis racket, you know you found it when you hit it.
During this month, you will hear from at least 26 meditation leaders, many of whom have been practicing these skills for decades. There is much wisdom among us. I am grateful to learn from these leaders and even more grateful to give them a platform to share their profound insights.
Each meditation leader has a unique style and skill set, so if you do not connect with one leader, stay with it, and the next day you may hear from one that will literally change your life. Because we have completed two years of this project, I have been fortunate to hear the stories of how the connections made through the Albany Peace Project have changed entire trajectories of peoples’ lives.
Today’s meditation leader is musician and healer, Joy Adler. Not only does Joy have a clear soulful voice, but she is also a staff facilitator for the Barbara Brennan School of Healing, lead by the former NASA physicist, Dr. Barbara Brennan. Since 2004, Joy has also been teaching Wellness and Emotional Growth at the Center for Natural Wellness School of Massage Therapy in Albany, NY, and she is their student, faculty and administrative advisor. Joy has an extensive understanding of how to utilize the body’s subtle energies enables her to maintain a grounded healing state of consciousness to be of service in all of her work. Pursuing happiness is not just for personal gain, it benefits society as a whole. People who are happier, give more, love better and even live longer. Albany Peace Project founder, Bethany Gonyea will share with us what science has been discovering about happiness, and how biofeedback and mindfulness dramatically enhances happiness levels, which enhances people’s willingness to be of service to the greater good.
